RG-MUX-16LC/LC-H-BIDI, Building-Side 16-Port Passive Transparent Distribution Module

The transparent distribution module supports 1GE/2.5GE/10GE per port, and can be used with BiDi CWDM transceivers in SOE Solution 4.0.

1:16 High-Density CWDM, Providing Ultra-High 160GE Bandwidth per Port

Used with the RG-S7610-10SFXP2CQ core switch and high-density optical transceivers, the transparent distribution module achieves 160GE high-density CWDM transmission per port. A single device supports up to 160 rooms with 10GE dedicated access, meeting deployment requirements for high-bandwidth, high-density scenarios.

Single-Fiber, End-to-End Connections for All Network Elements, Improving Cabling Reliability and Doubling Deployment Efficiency

The transparent distribution module is used with BiDi CWDM transceivers and adopts single-fiber interconnections, eliminating the need to distinguish receive and transmit ends, and doubling the deployment efficiency.
Optical fiber count and fusion splicing nodes are halved, resulting in lower cost, faster cabling, significantly reduced construction error risks, and improved single-fiber cabling reliability.

Unique CWDM Technology, Achieving Zero Optical Splitting and Delivering Dedicated 10GE/2.5GE/1GE Bandwidth to Rooms

CWDM technology is used to implement point-to-point 1:1 transmission from core to access with zero optical splitting, providing dedicated 10GE/2.5GE/1GE bandwidth to rooms.

Large Layer 2 Passive Networking Architecture with O&M-Free ELV Rooms, Enhancing Network Reliability

The passive transparent aggregation module is deployed at the aggregation layer, eliminating O&M workloads in ELV rooms and saving equipment room space and cooling costs.

The two-layer architecture reduces network layers, and passive equipment eliminates aggregation single point of failure from the physical layer, resulting in low failure probability and a more stable and reliable network.

CWDM Transceiver

  • CWDM transceivers are installed on core switches in the core equipment room, and are connected to the multiplexing port of the transparent distribution module through fiber trunk cables.

  • The access-side CWDM transceiver is installed on the access switch in the building's ELV room, and is interconnected with the demultiplexing port of the transparent distribution module through a short fiber.
